How to Connect Mouse Phone with Your PC's
For PS/2 MOUSE PORT (Standard)
Plug the 6-needle PS/2 connector of Mousephone to the PS/2 socket of computer.
For RS-232 SERIAL PORT (Option)
Plug the DB9 female connector of Mousephone to the DB9 male jack of computer’s
RS-232/Serial port.
For Telephone Line and Earphone
Plug the Mousephone telephone line jack into either the phone out socket on the computer
modem or any telephone wall jack near your computer. If using phone dialer software,
however, be sure to connect to your modem.
Plug the earphone into the earphone jack on the Mousephone.
Note
Properly install the mouse driver for Windwos 3.1/95/98, etc. before using
the Mousephone!
Using Mouse Phone As a Regular
Telephone
RECEIVING CALLS AS A REGULAR TELEPHONE
1. When your phone rings, the ringer indicator will flash, press Hook Switch and pick up
the Mousephone and talk as using a regular telephone.
2. After conversation, press Hook Switch again to hang up and disconnect the telephone
line.
Making Calls As a Regular Telephone
1. Press Hook Switch.
2. Pick up the Mousephone and you will hear the dial tone. Dial the numbers you want to
call.
Use As a Hand-Free Earphone
1. When your phone rings, the ringer indicator will flash, put on the earphone and adjust
the angle or position of the microphone.
2. Press Hook Switch, the In-Use indicator will light, then listen and talk through the
earphone.
3. After conversation, press Hook Switch again to hang up and disconnect the telephone
line.
Examples of Using The Speaker Monitoring Feature
1. When using earphone during conversation, press the Speaker button to enhance the
voice level of the other party.
2. When making a call, you can press Speaker button to hear the dial tone and to monitor
if the called party has answered your call before you would need to pick up the Mousephone
or wear the earphone.
3. When calling your voice mail service, you can listen to the messages without picking up
the Mousephone or wearing the earphone.
Note
The microphone on the Mousephone is muted as soon as the Speaker button is
pressed. You must use the earphone to have conversation.
